Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, term time only
Unique School Solutions is supporting a large primary school in the S63 area of Rotherham, who are needing an Autism (ASD) specialist Teaching Assistant to work in their Integrated Resource unit within the school. The role will be supporting up to 12 students with ASD, alongside two other members of staff. The role is to start ASAP and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential Requirements for the Role:
1. Previous experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs, ideally Autism (ASD) or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). This experience needs to be for at least 3 months in the last 2 years.
2. Experience working in a school setting would be beneficial but not essential.
3. The ability to build rapport with young learners.
4. TeamTeach qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
5. The ability to monitor students who may be going into crisis, and have experience of how to de-escalate.
6. The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.
