What you will be doing
* Work collaboratively with the Health and Safety Team carrying out day-to-day H&S activities to ensure compliance with H&S practices, driving a H&S People First Culture.
* Proactively apply the ISO 45001 standard, updating and improving the OH&S management system to reflect current business activities, including reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and legal registers.
* Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to manage and implement all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work to ensure they meet quality standards and are completed in a timely manner.
* Manage the administration and coordination of all RUK H&S documentation available to employees via the SharePoint folder on the Ricoh Intranet to ensure transparency and clarity around Health and Safety queries.
* Support the Health and Safety Manager in promoting a Health and Safety First culture across the business, enhancing awareness of H&S practices and responsibilities.
* Perform audits/reviews on different areas of the business to assess H&S performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Manage due diligence of sub-contractor information to ensure all documentation is in place, following the supplier assessment procedure to verify contractor competence.
* Understand the impact of retaining H&S accreditations such as ISO 45001, CHAS, and Safecontractor, escalating any concerns to the Health and Safety Manager.
You will ideally have
* Good understanding of H&S legislation
* Previous experience with OH&S management systems (ISO 45001)
* Ability to develop and implement high-quality risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Confidence in providing practical solutions related to H&S
* Qualification: NEBOSH General Certificate or higher
