Brook Street (UK) Ltd are delighted to be working on behalf of one of the biggest Public Sector Organisations located in Northern Ireland.
Position: Senior Clerical Officer
As a Senior Clerical Officer, you will provide effective administrative support within the Children and Young People's Service Department, including finance, processing invoices, and liaising with service users and Central Support Team Officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide efficient administrative support for daily functional and operational staff.
2. Utilize MS Packages such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
3. Conduct typing and word-processing duties.
4. Support in undertaking comprehensive research and investigations as required.
5. Assist in the collation of factual data and statistical information to support the work of identified officers within the service.
6. Prepare letters, minutes, notes, and other clerical support as directed by the programme manager.
7. Respond to queries, issues, and problems with initiative, tact, and diplomacy.
8. Order and monitor supplies of stationery and office requisitions for all staff.
9. Maintain efficient recording and filing systems as directed by the programme manager.
10. Delegate tasks to the office team in the absence of senior management.
11. Utilize professional telephone techniques and maintain good oral and written communication skills.
12. Work collaboratively as part of a busy team with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Hold Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language).
2. Have at least 1 year of suitable clerical and/or administrative experience with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
