CSS Recruitment and Training are looking for a Construction Manager (E&I) with experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical Industries.
* Oversee the safe execution of projects and site/construction implementation.
* Ensure construction is carried out in compliance with safety, cost, schedule, QA, and QC standards.
* Manage pre-construction planning, procurement, and execution strategies.
* Plan and allocate manpower and resources.
* Drive construction and commissioning project strategies.
* Handle procurement, tender evaluation, subcontractor selection, and contract closeout.
* Ensure QA procedures and QC compliance during implementation.
* Track procurement, especially long lead items and bulk materials, to ensure timely delivery.
* Implement safety procedures and requirements fully.
Requirements:
• Electrical Trade background preferred
• Proven Construction management track with min 10 years’ experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical Industries
• Diverse managerial know-how in managing and coordination of multiple disciplines
• Good understanding of commercial issue and experience in handling contract disputes
• Critical human relations skills in understanding, selecting, training, developing and motivating people
• Strong Analytical, problem solving ability with adaptive and constructive thinking
• Safety Focus, experience in the enforcement of Safety Legislation and Corporate Safety Procedures and Requirements
• Manage the earlier procurement of the packages to fast track the progress
• Plan and establish the site setting up and respective enabling works
• Ensure the works perform compliance to Spec and Project requirement
• Track and ensure that the overall progress is on or ahead of schedule and cost
• Maintenance of daily record of all activities, labour & plant and any non-compliance of materials and workmanship
• Close field monitoring to ensure quality of works delivery
• Ensure ITP and document compilation compliance
• Review Method Statement of Works
• Manage respective sub-contractors and monitor progress and reporting
• Manage Walk-down, Punch-listing, Clearing and Closure
• Interface and close coordination with Client, EP team and other project team members
• Managing the pre-commissioning and commissioning works which may include IQ/OQ
• Manage the turnover and closure of the contract.
• Be a Good Leader, Independent and Proactive
• Good communicator (verbal and written)
• Calm professional manner but able to make firm and timely decision
• Positive “can do” attitude and be proactive to identify & resolve management problem
• Be prepared to be full time and at ease in Construction Management
• Be prepared to works extended hours per site requirement
• Be a team work player with good interpersonal skill
