Assisting with Treatments: Support podiatrists during treatments by preparing instruments, ensuring infection control procedures are followed, and assisting with minor treatments such as nail trimming, callus removal, and basic foot care. Sterilization and Equipment Management: Ensure that all podiatric equipment and tools are sterilized and maintained according to infection control standards. Set up and clean treatment areas before and after use. Administrative Support: Assist in administrative duties such as booking patient appointments, managing patient records, updating treatment plans, and maintaining accurate notes in patient files in compliance with data protection regulations. Clinic Preparation: Set up treatment rooms for daily patient appointments, ensuring the availability of required equipment, materials, and patient forms. Prepare patient charts and ensure all relevant documents are ready for each appointment. Patient Education: Provide basic information to patients about foot health, hygiene, and aftercare, under the direction of the podiatrist. Offer guidance on maintaining foot health, including tips for managing common conditions such as bunions, corns, or ingrown toenails.
