About the role
This apprenticeship programme is designed to develop you over 2 years to reach a nationally recognised level 2 Engineering Operative qualification. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will be considered for appointment to a permanent role.
What you will do
You will report directly to our Training Lead, who will invest time and effort in helping you make the most out of this opportunity. You will also have a dedicated mentor who will help you succeed at work and at college.
As it is shift-based, you’ll need to be 18 years old by the start date. The attractive shift pattern allows you to work four 12-hour shifts (two days and two nights) followed by six days off.
During your apprenticeship you will learn to work in an efficient and confident way, and develop skills such as:
* Taking responsibility for a machine area
* How to communicate technical information and identify engineering equipment
* Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Business Health and Safety procedures
