We have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our therapy rehabilitation team based at Chester le Street Community Hospital for a 9 month maternity secondment.
Applicants must be prepared to participate in a 6 day week service, covering bank holidays and Saturdays on a rota basis.

Main Duties of the Job
This post is for a Band 5 Physiotherapist full time. The service will work over 6 days a week.
The successful applicant will independently manage a caseload providing holistic, short term, goal-led intervention following a comprehensive assessment. These patients will present with a wide range of problems and will allow you to develop your knowledge.

Person Specification
* Ability to travel independently across Trust sites and the locality, and carry small items of equipment on a daily basis to fulfil the requirements of the post.
Experience
* Relevant experience in physical rehabilitation including recent general rehabilitation.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Evidence of communication skills within a wide variety of settings.
* Experience in working in a variety of settings.
Special Skills & Knowledge
* Up to date knowledge of professional practice and new research.
* An understanding of legal responsibilities within the profession.
* Able to present information, written and orally in a clear and logical manner.
* Ability to organise and prioritise.
* Ability to maintain high levels of concentration.
* Ability to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities.
* IT skills and an innovative approach to working life.

Qualifications
* BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* State Registration.
* Continuing Professional Development Diary including evidence of reflective practice, training and clinical experience.
* Recognised relevant academic qualification.
* Member of CSP.
* An understanding of County Durham and Darlington NHS FT, its culture, strategic direction, achievements and NHS standing.
Special Requirements
* HCPC registered.
* Member of CSP.
