Job Title: Repairs Supervisor (Social Housing) Location: East London Salary: £21/ 22 per hour Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Repairs Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day management of responsive repairs and maintenance services within our social housing properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that repair works are completed to a high standard, within agreed timescales, and in line with health and safety regulations. This role will involve supervising a team of operatives and subcontractors while delivering excellent customer service to tenants. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate a team of operatives and subcontractors to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance services. Monitor and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Conduct site inspections to assess work quality, adherence to health and safety standards, and overall performance. Liaise with tenants, customer service teams, and housing officers to address repair issues effectively and efficiently. Manage resources, materials, and scheduling to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Provide technical guidance and support to operatives, ensuring best practices are followed. Investigate and resolve complaints and escalations, ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records and reports on completed works, performance metrics, and compliance. Work closely with the Compliance and Health & Safety teams to ensure all work adheres to relevant regulations and policies. Support in the recruitment, training, and development of team members. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the repairs and maintenance sector, preferably in social housing. Strong knowledge of building maintenance, responsive repairs, and compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Experience using housing management or repairs scheduling systems.
