Job Advert Role Description
The duties of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.
2. Assisting the Ward Manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff.
3. Implementing best practice across the ward.
4. Supporting changes within the service.
5. Responsible for the clinical direction of the service.
6. Supporting the delivery of personalised care and contributing to service improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
The post holder must possess:
1. Experience in delivering and receiving supervision.
2. Excellent leadership skills.
3. Ability to assess and prioritise clinical situations.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Team player.
The management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff, both verbal and written, is a key element of this role.
