Job Description Procurement Assistant. Salary: £24,000 per annum. Location: Remote. Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week. A Bit About The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join Action for Children as a Procurement Assistant. You will provide the lead responsibility for strategic commercial procurement on a wide range of large scale spend categories across the organisation and supporting with changing the approach to procurement at all levels of the organisation, including maximising efficiencies and ensuring effective systems are in place to enable resources to be redirected to support the children, young people and families who we support. How You'll Help To Create Brighter Futures By Apply professional procurement practices, informed through the latest developments and efficiencies in the field of procurement. Maintain and update the central register of main contracts as well as other appropriate databases for key suppliers and main contractors. Contract tracking and documentation. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Procurement procedures and processes are adhered to in line with Action for Children’s Policy. Experience in supporting procurement with tender process and other procurement activities. Working cross functionally, demonstrating collaborative and engagement skills and experience. Effective team player and capable of working without regular supervision. Communicate with suppliers to get quotes, specifications and quality information as assigned by Procurement Officer. Let's talk about you CIPS Level 3 or equivalent work experience. Have experience working in the Third Sector or Public Sector. Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentational.
