The Opportunity
Given recent forecasted project growth, our client is currently searching for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their ambitious rail team at Sizewell C at the forefront of a net zero and energy security future.
Leiston - Hybrid
Remuneration & Benefits: Negotiable salary dependent on experience: £55,000 to £65,000 Per Annum
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
* Supporting planning and delivery associated with the full life cycle delivery of a rail contract or railway work packages.
* Ensuring full and consistent compliance with all appropriate Network Rail Standards is delivered.
* Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders, suppliers, Network Rail and team.
* Responding to tender queries, meetings with suppliers, and if required providing input to tender technical reviews.
* Managing and resolving issues within the contract or package in a timely manner.
* Ensuring the List of Deliverables relating to the scope of work is delivered.
* Ideally, you’ll come from the rail infrastructure sector.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
* Ideally you will be a Civil Engineering/Construction/Business/Maths/Project Management or similar graduate with relevant industry APM experience.
* Experience in design and/or the delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Knowledge or experience of applying APM body of knowledge and OGC's Prince 2.
* IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs Word/Excel/Outlook.
* Ideally you will come from the rail sector.
* The ability to re-prioritise tasks in a fast-paced changing environment.
The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licensed site. These can include nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gases, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
