We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Senior/Semi-Senior to join our team in our Hereford office. You will be working on a wide variety of assignments for a group of the firm’s clients, who range from local owner-managed businesses to large organisations.
This role will suit you if you have at least 12 months of experience in an accountancy practice or can demonstrate transferable skills and experience; competent accounts and/or audit experience, are organized, an excellent communicator, and experienced in the use of accounting practice software. Ideally, you will hold a relevant accounting qualification or be part-qual AAT/ACCA/ACA or be Qualified by Experience.
Work will be varied but will typically include:
* Preparing financial statements and producing statutory accounts files for manager or partner review.
* Assisting with assigned audits, including planning and execution of work on time and to budget.
* Working with a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, small Limited companies, charities, education clients, and other not-for-profit sector clients.
* Preparation of year-end accounts and management accounts or participation in audits/independent examinations of limited companies, charities, education clients, and other not-for-profit sector clients.
* Supporting Managers with the working of, and development of junior team members.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Desirable – AAT/part-qual ACCA/ACA, QBE.
* Desirable – MAAT.
* At least 12 months of experience in an Accountancy Practice or demonstrate transferable experience – Accounts and/or Audit.
* Familiarity with Accounting software.
* Car Owner/Driver.
* A good communicator who works well as part of a team.
* Highly motivated, committed with a positive mind and ambitious attitude – an enquiring mind is encouraged.
* Positive attitude to the benefits of using accountancy software within the practice and with clients.
