A mission-driven scale-up in Edinburgh is looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join their hybrid team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful, real-world products that are helping tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time: climate change.
They’re building technology for a more sustainable future—and you’ll be at the forefront of designing interfaces and experiences that will be used by thousands of people across the UK. Whether it’s designing customer-facing features or behind-the-scenes systems, your work will directly impact the way people interact with products that are changing perceptions in their sector.
As the sole designer, you’ll be trusted to take full ownership of all design work. You’ll lead the design process across a variety of projects, from user research to high-fidelity mockups, ensuring that everything you create aligns with the company’s mission. You’ll also be responsible for conducting user research—speaking with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to shape intuitive, user-friendly designs that solve real-world problems.
You’ll be joining a cross-functional team where your ideas and designs will have a huge impact. There’s no heavy product hierarchy here – you’ll collaborative closely with everyone to bring your ideas to life. This is a role where you’ll be empowered to own the design process from concept to execution, working across both customer-facing features and internal tools.
What they’re hoping you’ll bring:
* A strong background in product design—ideally, experience delivering high-fidelity designs, user flows, and components for both web and mobile apps
* A deep understanding of design principles and a keen eye for creating clean, intuitive user experiences
* Experience working closely with engineers to translate designs into seamless, high-quality products
* Experience conducting User Research
Bonus points for:
* Graphic design experience
* Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)
* Working within a tech start-up or scale-up environment
Their new offices are based in central Edinburgh, walking distance from Waverly station, and they support hybrid working—you’ll typically be in the office about three days a week, with flexibility around that.
Salary-wise, they’re offering a range from £50k to £80k, depending on experience, along with share options and a solid benefits package.
