Installation and Service Engineer - Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms - Field based
Location: Ideally based in or around Crawley, willing to cover the South of London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Package:
1. Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on level of experience
2. Paid Overtime (at a rate of x1.5) and additional on-call allowance

Role Overview:
Our client has identified a need for an experienced Engineer in Crawley or a surrounding area. A successful candidate will be competent in all disciplines - Fire Alarms, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, and CCTV. However, we are able to consider applicants who may have limited experience in one of these disciplines, provided they are prepared to train and develop in these areas. Our client works on large CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Fire, and Access Control projects, offering job variety on high-end stately homes, large multi-million-pound properties, historic buildings, large commercial properties, and public buildings. Extensive training and development are available to all employees, including regular meetings to discuss progress and ways to exceed expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Servicing and maintaining various intruder, CCTV, Fire, and access control systems.
2. Demonstrating systems for customers and explaining details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
3. Carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems and all other security systems.
4. Understanding the clients' needs and fulfilling all jobs required.
5. Maintaining fire & security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements.
6. Responding to demand service calls on all types of fire and security systems.
7. Updating documentation including site schematics/drawings (if applicable).
8. Carrying out annual service visits and responding to incoming faults raised.
9. Applying updates and accurate descriptions of works completed via SIMPRO to inform the office of progress, securing signatures from clients of completed works.
Requirements:
1. Experience of front-line customer service is preferable.
2. A Full UK Driving Licence.
3. Flexibility to travel and be part of an on-call rota (1 week in every 4).
4. Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, successful candidates will need to pass several background checks including a credit check, five-year referencing history, and DBS check. All offers are subject to successful completion of these background checks.
