At Sigma, we specialise in the design and manufacturing of commercial and industrial ventilation systems. This requires precision engineering, custom manufacturing and the use of industrial machinery. We are looking for a talented, reliable Sheetmetal Worker to join our growing team and contribute to our exciting projects.
Role Overview:
As a Sheetmetal Worker, you will work alongside a team of skilled engineers and technicians to assist in the production and development of engineering projects. You will be hands-on with machinery and tools, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing the fabrication, assembly and testing of ventilation system components
Operate workshop tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to execute tasks accurately
Collaborate with engineers and other team members on project design and development
Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance
Follow all safety regulations and procedures, and promote a safe working environment
Support troubleshooting and problem-solving on mechanical and technical issues
Qualifications: Preferred
Previous experience in a sheet metal workshop or similar environment
Hands-on experience with relevant machinery, tools, and equipment (e.g. welding, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Relevant certifications in machinery operation, welding, or health and safety are a plus
Physically fit to handle manual tasks and work in a demanding environment
