A little about us...
We create world-class exhibitions and live events for clients all over the world. We typically deliver 200+ events per year across 6 continents.
Most of our team are based in Bristol, Stratford upon Avon and North Devon. We also have offices in London, San Francisco and Singapore.
We work with a range of B2B clients across most industry sectors, from leading brands through to Government departments, and our events include anything and everything, from conferences and exhibitions, through to product launches, brand activations and roadshows.
Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Event Director on a fixed term basis, to work closely with the current Group Event Directors during a busy 2025. This role will work closely with the Head of Events and be responsible for the quality delivery and operations of all events across the Live Events Team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with new business and client services to develop proposals, pitches, approaches, solutions and budgets for new opportunities.
2. Interrogate briefs (new and existing clients) to develop the most suitable approach and allocate teams.
3. Drive quality, best practice and continuous improvement across projects.
4. Champion and develop processes and ensure all teams are following them.
5. Co-line management of Event Directors.
6. Main point of contact for existing client contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
7. Work with other GED/s and Head of Events to ensure projects are resourced correctly, engaging freelancers where needed.
8. Ensure profitability per project and drive efficiencies where possible.
9. Lead major projects when senior oversight is required.
The person
Previous experience of working within an event agency at a senior level is highly valued. You will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing the fast-paced nature of event delivery and understand the event lifecycle for a range of event types.
You will have event delivery expertise and be a strong communicator at all levels. You will be comfortable pitching ideas to new and existing clients and be able to interrogate briefs efficiently to help shape solutions.
The role may involve occasional travel within the UK and globally, with trips lasting a few days at a time. Flexibility and support for individual circumstances can be discussed.
You thrive in dynamic environments and maintain focus under pressure, can manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain excellent attention to detail while working to tight deadlines.
