Target Security Specialist
Starting Hourly Rate: $15.00 USD per hour

ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION
Assets Protection (AP) teams function to keep our guests, team, and brand safe and secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guests.
As a Target Security Specialist, you will gain:
1. Skills using intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure.
2. Experience in crisis response, safety, and crowd management.
3. Skills in de-escalation as well as experience with recovering stolen merchandise.
4. Ability to utilize Target's video surveillance system.
5. Ability to properly document cases using industry case management systems.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Support sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members.
2. Lead a physical security culture for our team members and guests.
3. Respond to and accurately document security incidents.
4. Understand and leverage escalation tools for guest issues.
5. Conduct productive merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support.
6. Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store.
7. Submit appropriate documentation for all incidents.
8. Understand and appropriately use the video system.
9. Train team members on merchandise protection.
10. Execute shortage action plans set by AP leadership.
11. Model working safely while maintaining a clean store.
12. Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
13. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
14. All other duties based on business needs.

Skills Required:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
4. Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Ability to work both independently and with a team.
7. Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

1. Climb up and down ladders.
2. Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy.
3. Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
4. Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) is necessary.
