About the Role
The Cash Transaction Controller is responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations from multiple bank accounts and in varying currencies. The preparation and processing of client refunds as well as all aspects of Accounts Payable. The role requires a methodical approach and a high level of attention to detail due to the industry's regulatory requirements. In addition, the Cash Transaction Controller will be responsible for resolving queries for both internal and external clients and other ad hoc duties including coding and posting expenses and assigning recharges. They will work to deadlines, contribute towards projects, communicate openly, and operate effectively in a team environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
To perform daily, weekly & monthly bank reconciliations in line with the firm's current processes and policies To assist and prepare in the processing of internal and external payments in line with the firm's current processes and policies To assist and prepare in the processing of client refunds in line with the firm's current processes and policies Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to the appropriate resolution Monitor the firm's accounts help mail box Provide a high standard of professional customer service to both internal staff and external clients with a high level of both written and verbal communication Ad hoc duties appropriate to the role (inc. cover for other finance shared service functions) Complete all Statuary training within the time frames set Ensure compliance in line with the Firm's procedures and, where applicable, local country legal requirements including the appropriate anti money laundering legislation Adhere to the core values of the Maples Group
EXPERIENCE

Previous experience as a Cash Transaction Controller or experience gained in a similar role A strong understanding of transactional finance Considerable experience in the key duties of the role including Bank Reconciliations and Accounts Payable Great numerical and analytical skills Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Experience of using investigative skills Experience of working in a multi-currency environment Experience of working with overseas banks Ability to identify and recommend better ways of working Track record of working to deadlines and within SLAs Fluency in written and spoken English A team player, capable of working together towards a common goal Experience of excel and word Self-motivated and pro-active Able to deliver to deadlines Good communication skills, both written and verbal Good Interpersonal skills Ability to organise and priortise under a backlog situation
