We are working with a leading rail contractor who is looking for an Environmental Advisor to oversee the works of the Environmental Team.
This project will cover major marine works and will need support on all environmental management and documentation, legal compliance, and continual improvement.
Experience
* Experience in environmental/sustainability roles within construction or infrastructure.
* Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and carbon reduction strategies.
* Professional qualifications in environment/sustainability.
Preferred
* Rail, highway, or light rail project experience.
* Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering (MSc preferred).
* CEEQUAL Assessor certification or ISO 14001 auditing experience.
Key Accountabilities And Objectives
* Advise on environmental and sustainability practices during project development and delivery.
* Support the Head of SHEQ and Sustainability Manager in achieving project goals.
* Develop training tools to improve sustainability management.
* Monitor and report on environmental KPIs and objectives.
* Collaborate with engineering, health and safety, and supply chain teams to integrate sustainability into projects.
* Promote innovation and share best practices across teams (e.g., through workshops or internal news).
* Assist in implementing Environmental Management Systems and Considerate Contractor Schemes.
* Prepare Project Environment and Sustainability Plans.
