Structured Cabling Project Supervisor Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Cabling Project Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an ECS Health & Safety Card, SSSTS or SMSTS certification, and a proven track record in managing teams of Data Cabling Installers. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the management of operatives and ensuring the successful completion of all cable installations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management: Oversee the team of site operatives to ensure all cable installations for both ICT & Security are installed to specification, on time, and meet Manufacturers quality standards & NSI Standards.
2. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all current Health & Safety requirements are met, carrying out Risk Assessments & Method Statements checks, and ensuring all H&S procedures are followed.
3. Work Planning: Plan works for site operatives to ensure maximum efficiency.
4. Stock Management: Ensure stock is managed in a cost-effective manner and that there are always sufficient materials available to ensure efficient installation. Order materials as required.
5. Reporting: Complete progress & dependency reports for ICT & Security as required and/or provide information in a logical format to the Project Manager.
6. Quality Assurance: Carry out quality checks on all works carried out by the engineers and ensure all required Quality Standards are met, i.e., Field View.
7. Documentation: Read and understand all site drawings, update 'as and when' work is completed to As-Built Status. Compile, process, and produce documentation as required to meet company and client standards. Ensure all required installations are documented as specified.
8. Site Meetings: Attend and document site meetings and ensure all required actions are carried out in a timely manner.
9. Installation Assistance: As and when required, assist in any urgent installation works.
10. Project Profitability: Ensure that project profitability is always maximised.
Qualifications:
1. ECS Health & Safety Card
2. SSSTS or SMSTS certification
3. Proven track record in managing teams of Data Cabling Installers
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills
5. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and procedures
6. Ability to read and interpret site drawings
7. Proficiency in documentation and reporting
