Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Azure Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in a small, thriving tech company based in Cheltenham. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Microsoft Intune, and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for providing exceptional support, maintaining cloud infrastructure, implementing modern, automated solutions, and managing patching processes to ensure optimal performance and the highest level of security and compliance across all environments. Key Responsibilities Support, manage, and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop environments. Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune, including device management and policy configuration for security and compliance. Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement and optimise DevOps pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitLab CI. Implement and manage patching processes for Azure environments to maintain system security and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure services, Intune, IaC deployments, and DevOps workflows. Monitor and optimise the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of Azure resources. Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure updates, Intune features, IaC practices, and DevOps tools. Document processes, procedures, and issue resolutions clearly and concisely. Requirements Essential: Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services. Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including configuration, device management, and policy management. Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Azure DevOps or GitLab CI. Experience with patching environments in cloud and hybrid setups to ensure security and operational compliance. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud-based environments. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Strong communication and collaboration skills. UK national Desirable: Relevant Azure certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer). Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of Azure Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, security frameworks and compliance standards.
