Job Description
Statkraft has a significant and growing development portfolio. We have high ambitions for growth in wind, solar, grid services and hydrogen in the UK and need an experienced Land Manager to join an established Land Team to deliver these projects.
Your role:
As a Land Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
1. Manage, negotiate, and secure land rights for defined onshore wind, solar, grid services and hydrogen projects, working across the portfolio;
2. Run tender processes and manage external consultants/ contractors, land agents and legal advisers (in conjunction with the Statkraft legal and procurement teams);
3. Ensure internal approvals are obtained for all property documents;
4. Assist with any due diligence activity on land matters in relation to any acquisition and/ or sale opportunities;
5. Support the technology project teams and wider business on all aspects of land issues and associated matters as required;
6. Maintain industry knowledge on relevant wider issues by various means, including event attendance, consultation responses and industry representation; and
7. Partake in regular UK and some international travel.
Qualifications
1. University degree within a relevant field relating to law, land and property
2. 3 – 4 years PQE in a relevant role, with good industry knowledge and experience of property law together including specialist knowledge working with land agreements within the renewable energy sector and reviewing and interpreting maps and plans
3. Organised, practical, self-starter with the ability to cope with multiple projects, competing demands and deliver high quality results on time
4. Strong collaboration, influencing and relationship-building skills
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and high level of attention-to-detail
6. A pro-active approach to problem solving
7. Confident, personable and keen to work in a dynamic team environment
