How do you ensure the safety and development of your team to meet business requirements?
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of electricity transmission? We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Operations Leader to manage a multi-disciplinary team overseeing high-voltage substations across 5 operational sites in the Norfolk area.
As a Substation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and empowering a team of 15 direct reports and a wider team of 28, fostering a supportive, high-performing culture through coaching and mentoring. Your leadership will be key to ensuring a safe working environment, driving a strong safety culture, and maintaining full compliance with ESQCR regulations and Occupier duties across all sites.
With a long-term asset replacement program already in place, you will play a crucial role in upgrading the network to support Net Zero targets. This will involve overseeing multi-million-pound capital projects, preventative maintenance, and fault response activities, ensuring the reliability and resilience of the electricity transmission network. At all times, you will work to meet stakeholder expectations while upholding safety as the number one priority.

Must haves:
1. A minimum HNC qualification in an engineering discipline.
2. Proven Safety Leadership with significant operational background leading multi-disciplined engineering teams.
3. Managing costs, performance and commerciality.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. A current full Driving Licence.
Desirable
Electricity transmission / distribution, maintenance and/or construction operations.
Pay and Benefits
* A salary between £62,000 and £80,000 pa + Company Car + Training and Development.
* 15% Bonus opportunity.
