Assembly Operator
Shift Hours: 25 hours (Monday – Friday 15:00 – 20:00)
Who you will be working for as an Assembly Operator:
Our client is proud to have a friendly open environment in our Technical Support department and is looking for talented professionals to join us at an exciting time of growth and technological & organisational change.
The Assembly Operator will receive a competitive salary package, including contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, all required tools and a minimum of 23 days holiday per annum prorate. Our client offers a long service scheme with your holiday increasing to a maximum of 27 days per annum prorate.
Responsibilities:
The Assembly Operator will be responsible for the assembly of our standard products to the required levels of quality, output and efficiency, whilst ensuring all housekeeping requirements and safety guidelines are adhered to.
Essential Skills:
1. Keen attention to detail
2. Exceptional organisational skills with a practical and methodical approach to prioritisation
3. Proficiency in multitasking under pressure
4. High standards of professionalism and work ethic with a positive can-do attitude
5. Demonstrate flexibility in daily tasks and training
6. Capable of understanding and following the relevant procedures, standards and engineering documentation
7. Experience of using hand tools (crimp tools, wire strippers, powered screwdrivers)
8. Experience of soldering, cable preparation and crimping
9. Enthusiastic, flexible and able to use own initiative
10. A thorough awareness of any safety issues
Desired Skills:
1. Ability to inspect or test products accordingly
2. IPC/WHMA-A-620 Training on Acceptability of Cable & Wire Harnesses

Health and Safety:
1. When required, operate materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks following health and safety procedure at all times
2. To follow the Health & Safety guidelines as detailed in the Staff Handbook
3. Ensure work areas are kept safe and hazard-free and report any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to supervision
