Do you have a strong background in English and a desire to help learners build confidence and achieve academic success? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant with a specialism in English to join our supportive and dynamic team. Our provision supports Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 pupils, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where young people can thrive academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: - Provide targeted 1:1 and small group English support across KS1 to KS5. - Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, focusing on English language and literacy development. - Help pupils develop self-confidence and engage positively in their learning. - Support the social and emotional development of pupils in a nurturing and structured environment. - Offer classroom management assistance and maintain positive learning environments. - Work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and tailor interventions. Essential Requirements: - At least an A-Level qualification in English (Degree in English or a related subject is highly desirable). - Previous experience working in an educational setting (preferably with SEMH learners). - Passion for working with young people with additional needs. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
