Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our friendly and progressive team at the Orthopaedic Outpatient Centre. We are a very busy department providing fracture and elective orthopaedic clinic services to children and adults. Although orthopaedic and outpatient nursing experience would be beneficial, this is not essential as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high quality, safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience, evidence based practice and incorporates the Trust Values at the heart of their practice. The successful applicant will need to be a friendly and approachable team member who works well under pressure. An essential requirement to this post is the ability to communicate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and with the diverse local population. There is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop new knowledge and clinical skills within the plaster room. Training will be given to enable the candidate to support the plaster room team by using the plaster saw to remove casts as well as apply backslabs.
