We are currently recruiting for a Regional Bank Chef. As a Regional Bank Chef, you will plan and deliver the full dining experience with high-quality catering, contributing to the overall wellbeing of residents within the agreed budgets. As one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK, we prioritize combining great care with meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
In this role, you will work across multiple care homes, covering absences, holidays, and maternity leave. You should be prepared to work at different locations, which can be up to a 30-mile radius.
As a Regional Bank Chef, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and cooking daily meals for residents and staff, and catering for special occasions and events, such as birthday celebrations
* Ensuring the food's quality and presentation meet high standards and specifications
* Monitoring and recording the daily production schedule of each menu item
* Understanding and promoting safe food handling principles to ensure hygiene standards are maintained
* Tracking and monitoring temperature checks of refrigerators and freezers to ensure food safety
* Preparing and overseeing the cleaning rota to maintain high standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas, equipment, and appliances
* Taking reasonable care of kitchen equipment, including cleanliness and reporting faults or maintenance needs
* Maintaining records of temperatures and remedial actions, reporting issues to the Home Manager
