Job Summary
The three Partner Trusts (Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust, and York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) have set an objective of creating a single procurement function to help support the sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services. A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
You will work as a Senior Procurement Analyst across all Partner Trusts as a credible analyst providing data-driven advice and guidance to clinical and corporate colleagues. You will act as a trusted data professional encouraging collaboration between Care Groups and Procurement across all Partner Trusts to maximize procurement and commercial outcomes for the patients in our care.
You will, through the agreed policies and procedures, support the Procurement and Supply Chain teams in identifying opportunities for cost improvement using commercial data held across the Partner Trusts. Working independently within policies and procedures you will undertake a range of analysis activity but will have the ability to escalate any concerns where required.
Main Duties of the Job
You will ensure IM&T information is processed in accordance with policies and procedures and investigate enquiries and queries from stakeholders, providing assistance and advice as required. This will include end-users, suppliers, and the procurement team providing advice on system use and policy to ensure consistency. You will be required to adapt software, maintain a range of software, and interpret datasets to support the analysis of spend data. You will provide training to Procurement and non-procurement colleagues across the Trust to ensure systems are being used correctly.
You will manage the performance of 1-2 Systems Managers and will actively support them in meeting their own development needs and aspirations.
