Underwriter
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (D.O.E)
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset (Hybrid Working)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
About the role/our client:
Our client is a globally recognised insurance brand, supplying and providing protection for many commercial businesses and domestic consumers. Our client is seeking an underwriting professional to join the busy division dealing with Property Insurance.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Deeply understand client needs and ensure seamless delivery, while also nurturing strong relationships with different insurer partners. Your ability to juggle multiple deadlines will directly impact client satisfaction.
2. Serve as a senior referral point, offering crucial underwriting guidance on key accounts. You'll meticulously handle new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Collaborate with leadership to refine reporting, processes, and procedures, always prioritising Consumer Duty!
4. Efficiently handle queries, confirm coverage, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation, maintaining smooth workflow.
5. Work alongside Sales Teams to develop tailored underwriting solutions for large and complex clients.
6. Share your expertise and contribute to the development of team members.
Skills/Experience Required:
1. Previous experience within Underwriting, ideally in property insurance.
2. Ability to work with large, complex cases achieving SLA's whilst assessing.
3. Previous experience within an insurance role.
4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Task focussed and results driven.
6. Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
