To support Avalon’s growth strategy, we are looking to expand our well-established HR team.
Reporting to the Head of People, you will play a key part in the Charity’s strategic and cultural journey. The role is based at our Head Office in Harrogate; however, we support agile working and there will be opportunities to work from home. There may also be a requirement to travel to our locality offices when necessary, so access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes, together with a full valid driving licence, is essential due to the location of some of our offices.
It is essential you are an experienced operational HR Advisor with a strong knowledge of UK employment law, providing practical, solution-focused advice on general HR and People matters, with a background in supporting managers with Employee Relations and case work. You will be the go-to person for managers to provide expert advice and support in relation to HR policies and procedures and ensuring they are implemented.
You will work across the full spectrum of HR activities which includes recruitment and onboarding. You will need to have a can-do attitude and be comfortable with rolling up your sleeves to support any of the People Team’s activities. Ideally, you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent, although not essential.
We offer an attractive package for the right candidate, which includes up to 30 days paid holiday entitlement, health cash plan, defined contribution pension scheme, on-site parking, and access to our employee discounts scheme with 24/7 employee assistance helpline.
