Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school, working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to support both the class teacher and pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide classroom support to pupils, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
2. Assist children with SEND, using tailored strategies to meet their individual needs.
3. Support the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management, and group activities.
4. Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and build confidence.
5. Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s emotional well-being.
6. Liaise with teachers, SENDCo, and parents to ensure consistent support for pupils.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within an educational setting.
2. Understanding of SEND and strategies to support children with additional needs.
3. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
