Our Newport Depot is a busy operation. We are a leading provider of vehicle repair & maintenance services to both private customers using our Service Centre, as well as our Commercial Fleet Customers.
The business and workshop space is expanding, leading to additional headcount requirements. We are therefore seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join the team to contribute to the growth plans and demand for our technical services.
It’s a really fantastic time to join the Newport Depot as we enhance our offering within the EV and Commercial business areas and bolster the team to fulfil the demand.

Responsibilities include:
* Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs to all makes and models of light vehicle & LCV (home shopping vehicles), ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
* To carry out MOT testing (if not certified, training scheme is available).
* To employ technical knowledge and skills in all areas of service / repair / fault finding & diagnostics.
* To identify & report any current / future vehicle faults and servicing requirements whilst working on vehicles and expedite the recommended solutions.
* Test vehicles after repair to ensure all issues have been resolved, that work meets all safety and performance standards, and that work is signed off by the designated Quality Controller.
* To ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of vehicles – both private and Commercial.
* To ensure that all Health & Safety policies are adhered to, and materials / tools work spaces are properly maintained, clean and tidy.
* As an experienced technician you will be expected to lead by example in all areas of best practice, capability and teamwork.
Requirements:
* You must be a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician (body/electrical/mechanical) and able to demonstrate your knowledge and practical skills.
* You must have at least 3 years of on-the-job experience, although specific training can be provided (eg EV / MOT tester).
* Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a positive attitude are essential.
* Professional & skilled workmanship with the ability to problem solve independently & efficiently.
