The role
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a great opportunity to play a senior role in a design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with the Principal Engineer and Design team, maturing system architecture, interface definition/design and producing contract engineering deliverables as well as:
• Managing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions and creating optimally compliant architectures and solutions in response to customer requirements, from concepts through to in life support
• Leading the development, building, testing and trialling of solutions
• Contributing to the creation of high-quality design documentation and requirements analysis
• Participating in validation, verification, test and acceptance activities
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with four days in the office/onsite and one day working from home.
Essential experience of the Systems Engineer:
• Experience with complex systems integration
• Knowledge of Interface management; production of Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDD)
• Systems software and hardware integration experience
• Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working
• Experience with requirements capture, management, and verification and validation
Qualifications for the Systems Engineer:
• HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC clearance to start and achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
