Our client is a leading law firm with origins dating back to the late 1700s. Having established themselves as market leaders in banking and corporate, they have grown internationally with over 700 members of staff located across offices in the UK, Middle & Far East.
They are looking to recruit a Partnership Tax Accountant in the London office. The successful candidate will have up to 5 years’ experience in personal tax gained within legal or professional services.
Responsibilities
* Meeting new partners and going through new partner checklist covering capital, tax reserves, drawings and setting up agency at HMRC.
* Dealing with queries from partners regarding their pay and tax affairs on a day to day basis.
* Completing annual tax provision spreadsheet and journals.
* Preparing partners' tax returns together with other Partnership Tax Accountant.
* Organising 31 January tax payments to HMRC and posting journals for tax payments.
* Tax planning for partners including relief available for pension contributions together with other Partnership Tax Accountant. Preparing half yearly tax reserve statements for partners and release of tax reserve balances following closure of tax year together with other Partnership Tax Accountant.
