The role of an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager is crucial to the running of the Agency. You will be a consistent, pivotal and trusted point of contact for your Client, external suppliers and the internal Agency.
Responsible for the management of client accounts, you will be the lead day-to-day Client contact on project delivery across all Clients in your team. Reporting to, and working alongside the Senior Account Manager / Account Director, you will know the state of play of all the live projects in your team at all times. You’ll be a key support for the Account Director/Strategist on new business opportunities within the team.
You will have a natural hunger to continually learn, especially in the ever-developing digital space and be pivotal in the sharing of digital knowledge throughout the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage - ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects, delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
* Client Relationship – build and maintain long term trusted, constructive and positive working relationships with clients at all touchpoints.
* Creative excellence - strive for fantastic award-winning work with an eye for detail that delivers great creative that meets the client’s brief.
* Client Development – recognise opportunities to actively sell the agency’s services, driving future growth from current clients.
* Processes – input to and know the ins and outs of both on and offline processes and workflows, costing and delivery, acting as the go to person in the team.
* Financial – provide client quotes, ensuring they pay on time and work with the SAM/AD to gain familiarity with your client forecasts and update when needed.
* Strategy – begin to develop an understanding of marketing strategies in order to support your team, conducting competitor research as required.
* Analytics – work closely with the SAM/AD and Planning Team to understand KPIs and become familiar with PCA.
* To maintain and develop a positive culture of creativity, innovation and strategic curiosity throughout all delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationships & Delivery
As an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager, you’ll know that great relationships are the key to success and the smooth sailing of almost every campaign (big or small). As the first point of contact for client questions and requests you will naturally foster good relationships and have a natural instinct for project management.
You will:
* Be confident developing strong relationships with clients, with regular contact/communications through status reports, zoom and email.
* Develop great working relationships across the agency, knowing who to contact and seek approval at each key stage of the project delivery.
* Be responsible for keeping status reports and internal timing schedules across all clients up-to-date, scheduling and running client status calls and the lead point of contact for the Operations Director for scheduling work.
* Be a key team player and promote Campfire’s positive ‘can do’ attitude and innovative culture to our clients and across the agency team, through your general approach and behaviour.
* Successfully integrate new clients into the department / agency with responsibility for new client set up, file requests, financial details and brand guidelines.
* Be a key point of contact with external suppliers / resources liaising with key contacts throughout all stages of project delivery.
* Identify opportunities to improve Campfire processes and optimise job profitability.
Creative
A passion for creative is deep-rooted at Campfire. An AM/SAM must be zealous in their pursuit of delivering inspiring and innovative creative work.
You will:
* Ensure campaign briefs are created for all client requirements, making sure they are clear, concise and inspiring, meet client objectives and are signed-off by client and Creative Director.
* Brief creative teams in a simple, concise, yet inspiring way, ensuring that they are fully aware of client’s requirements at all times.
* Review creative work and provide evidence-based opinions.
* Be a thorough proof-reader with a keen eye for detail, responsible for ensuring all internal checks throughout the process are adhered to.
* Champion our work by presenting and selling creative ideas and work to clients with enthusiasm and passion.
* Use your experience to gather, share and act upon feedback from the client, working with the SAM/AD, if needed, to question client thinking when appropriate.
* Support on new business pitches and proposals.
Strategic Value
As part of the ongoing development of your role and progression to the next level you will work closely with the SAM/AD and Planning Department to understand your client’s strategic needs and how these underpin all delivery activity.
You will:
* Seek to build an understanding of your clients’ business and their markets (the work of the organisation, their market sector and the internal structure and politics), supporting the SAM/AD and Strategist in producing environment/competitor reviews etc.
* Build detailed knowledge of the latest marketing innovations where possible and share this knowledge with the broader team and Clients.
* Build your confidence and knowledge to participate in strategic discussions and understand why creative work had been developed and its relevance to the strategy.
Financial Management
Working closely with the Senior Account Manager/Account Director, the Account Manager will provide quotes for projects and campaigns. You will support the team leader on timely billing each month and ensuring the forecast is up-to-date and accurate.
You will:
* Ensure internal finance systems are accurate and up-to-date, with quotes and time estimates for all projects.
* Be responsible for providing and monitoring quotations, invoicing, POs and schedules for assigned projects and supporting the Senior Account Manager/Account Director in detailed client forecasts.
* Support your SAM/AD on delivering accurate monthly financial forecasting.
* Have a commercial mindset, monitor job profitability and where required request additional income from clients to cover out of scope activity.
* Be looking to grow confidence in financial forecasting and reporting.
