Finance Assistant
Location: Halewood Area
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Training, Pension, and Holidays
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Due to significant ongoing investments and exciting upcoming projects, this manufacturer in the Halewood area is looking to hire a Quality Engineer. The company offers excellent working conditions, a family-oriented environment, and a strong focus on training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with monthly accounts preparation up to trial balance (TB) level.
* Manage prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, HP and loan entries, and general journals.
* Oversee stock control, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
* Handle credit control and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
* Administer purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for review.
* Upload bank payments and perform bank reconciliations.
* Support the preparation of cash reporting.
* Assist with payroll preparation.
* Utilize Excel to maintain financial records and reports.
* Proficient in using accounting software, with Sage 50 experience an advantage.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a finance role, particularly with tasks related to accounts and reconciliations.
* Familiar with prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and credit control processes.
* Strong experience with Excel and managing financial data.
* Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
