Nuclear Safety Engineer Role
At AWE, we are currently recruiting for Nuclear Safety Engineers to join our dynamic team in the Surety Engineering Group.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with diverse skillsets to provide an in-house warhead safety assessment capability and support the company's strategic objectives.
The key aspects of the role include:
* Delivering warhead safety assessments on time and in full, aligned with company management procedures.
* Conducting safety analysis against requirements and standards across the full engineering lifecycle.
* Applying appropriate safety methods, tools, and techniques to a product.
* Liaising with stakeholders as part of a wider system design and verification team.
About the Role:
We are seeking candidates with Honours Degrees (or equivalent) in science, engineering, or related disciplines. Experience in high consequence safety assessments or nuclear safety focused roles is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience with software programming and data analysis, and the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority-changing environment.
