Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + benefits

Our client is one of the UK leading utility suppliers, servicing a large number of customers in England, Scotland & Wales. As part of the Technical Engineering Team, you will supporting the safe design and installation of projects and contributing to external technical decisions within the industry.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to work in a Hybrid role, but also be flexible to travel to operational sites and customer locations around the UK.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have a full UK driving license.
As the Project Engineer, your duties will include;
1. Designing and gaining approval for installation projects/layouts for external customers.
2. Advising teams of necessary equipment and tools for installations
3. Advising customers on technical matters including process safety, product knowledge, product storage, regulation and maintenance.
4. Expertly supporting incident investigations and quality improvement initiatives
5. Leading and taking on a hands-on approach to long term projects.
6. Carrying out liaison meetings with suppliers, clients and partners
7. Consistently complying with company and industrial guidelines, standards, processes, and legislation.
8. Managing the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS)
9. Continuously maintaining a strong knowledge of industry best practices and completing necessary training as required
As the successful Project Engineer, you will have the following skills/experience;
10. Previous working experience within a project co-ordination/management role, ideally within installation projects.
11. A background covering various technical disciplines, ideally including mechanical, process and electrical engineering.
12. Strong working knowledge of safety and risk management
13. Strong computer literacy and the ability to pick up new software quickly.
14. Initiative to work under your own direction.
15. Comfortable working with people with varying backgrounds, disciplines and seniority
16. Capacity to make quick, clear decisions which may include tough choices or considered risks.
17. Confidence communicating and explaining complex scenarios to non-technical colleagues.
18. Highly organised and detail conscious, with ability to work methodically.
