Are you someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We have an opportunity for you. A role has become available for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant in a Stretford-based Primary School (M32).
The school is looking for someone to work with a year 6 child on a 1 to 1 basis, supporting their day-to-day learning and assisting with their physical education. The student has ADHD and difficulties when unsupported in class, so the ideal candidate will have a history of supporting children with challenging behaviour. In this role, you will be working closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure the child has the best opportunity to thrive both academically and socially, tailoring your approach based on their needs.
The school is looking for someone who is:
1. Experienced working in an SEN setting
2. Great at managing challenging behaviour
3. Up to date with the current national curriculum
