We have a fantastic opportunity for an Production Leader in our Andover site to provide day to day leadership of the production operation, ensuring production target volumes and quality are met. Through performing these activities, the Value Added Service function will deliver service excellence to Elis' customers by minimising lead times and maximising On Time In Full (OTIF) while minimising cost. Your Mission at Elis Ensure maintenance of Leader Standard Work by the Team Leaders, including execution of Short Interval Control process. Act as first point of contact for Team Leaders. Attempt to resolve any staff queries/issues in the first instance. Liaise with the Production Manager to drive tactical and strategic improvement Establish and maintain effective customer relations with all key personnel. Directly supervise and monitor staff performance during the course of their duties. Monitor and control staff timekeeping. Using departmental guidance arrange cover for sickness absence. Highlight any potential breaches of staff conduct to the Production Manager. Assist and provide cover for other staff members in their duties as required. Conduct annual staff appraisals. Preparation of all garments for installation including bar code application, RFID encoding, emblem application and alterations - 50% of time allocated to completion of production. Compliance to site KPI's, including working to deadlines. Liaise with Production Manager to ensure installations are met for New Business and customer contract renewals. Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to. What will make you stand out? Knowledge / Skills Attention to detail. Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the customer & Elis. Well spoken, clarity of speech, friendliness of tone, articulate. Patient, polite and courteous. Flexibility to work unsocial hours. Education & Experience Previous supervisory experience is essential, ideally in a production environment. Demonstration of ability to work to targets and ensure teams do the same. Maths and English to GCSE level (Grade C and above) or vocational training. Health & Safety regulation exposure in a previous role. Leadership and People Management skills; involvement in recruitment, motivation, appraisal process, coaching, disciplinary/grievance, performance management, absence management etc. Experience of implementing continuous improvement programmes.
