As a Senior Generic Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside our dedicated therapists, providing essential support to ensure responsive, flexible, and high-quality therapy interventions for patients. You'll be based within our front door services at King's Mill Hospital, where your skills and dedication will help improve patient outcomes from the very start of their hospital journey.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Collaborating with therapists to assess and support patients with complex needs.
2. Independently conducting simple assessments and implementing treatment plans within your scope of practice.
3. Making informed decisions on treatment options in line with agreed guidelines, protocols, and therapy plans.
4. Supporting and enhancing therapy services to help patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Up to date knowledge of relevant conditions and their therapeutic applications
* Ability to use own initiative
* Understanding the Dynamics of a group
* Supervisory skills
Qualifications
* NVQ Level III in Care "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support" award (or equivalent qualification) and substantial experience as a therapy assistant
Further Training
* Counselling skills
* Teaching in a group setting
* Hydrotherapy course
Experience
* Substantial experience as a therapy assistant
* Evidence of CPD/IST
Contractual
* Able to work flexibly including weekends
* Ability to travel between hospital sites
