Salary / Benefits
* Salary up to £44,000.

About the Role of Restaurant Manager
* You will oversee all aspects of the day to day running of the restaurant and oversee the restaurant and staff in it and responsible for its success.
* Ensuring the restaurant is set and tidy as per procedures.
* Ensure the guest journey is correct and maintained and that all guests are dealt with in a professional and courteous manor.
* You will respond to emails.
* You must control bookings for the restaurant to ensure good service.
* Check in hotel guests and begin their customer journey with the highest standards.
* Organise staff rotas two weeks in advance with the emphasis on quality of service whilst keeping hourly staff down to a minimum.
* You will ensure all stock taking and ordering is carried out to maintain a high standard of service.
* Reply to all trip advisor and google reviews in a professional manor. Reporting all issues to relevant staff to help improve service.
* Daily management reports must be filled in to help identify issues and implement systems to improve service.
* Identify areas of improvement and report maintenance issues.
* Maintain a daily online presence with Facebook and Twitter and promote the restaurant and outside catering where possible.
* Ensure systems and procedures are created and implemented to maintain standards. Training staff to ensure standards are kept up in your absence.
* Maintain staff dress codes.
* Communication with the kitchen should be fluid and coherent, to facilitate an easy service. This includes knowing run outs, low stock and push sales.
* Ensure Till Systems are correct, easy to use and staff are logged in for each service.
* You should have an exemplary knowledge of all areas of the business including menu, drinks, events, rooms, history and surrounding area. Leading by example.
* Produce training sheets and implement and record training schedules. Train staff to ensure they are competent in all necessary areas with regular reviews and appraisal.
* Help upkeep the sales of the Deli area.
