The Newcastle Psychiatric Liaison Team is offering an exciting Band 7 Clinical Lead opportunity. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate collective leadership to work within the multi-disciplinary team and closely with the senior management team.
As a Clinical Lead, you will be expected to provide support, advice, and supervision to the team and ensure the operational efficiency of clinical pathways. The Clinical Lead will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge in working with service users aged 16 years and older.
The successful post holder will show a strong commitment to high-quality client care, possess good organisational skills, and demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload, ensuring the service is safe, effective, and responsive.
Main Duties of the Job
The main roles of this post are to provide clinical leadership and expertise in formulating treatment plans and interventions within the scope of our MDT and service. The successful post holder will also provide clinical supervision and guidance on service users requiring ongoing review and treatment while on clinical caseload.
The role also comes with the expectation that a successful Clinical Lead can develop and foster supportive links within the acute hospital trust our service serves and develop productive working relationships to better serve our service users.

Education and Qualification
* Registered Mental Health Nurse/Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification
* Relevant Clinical Training and postgraduate Qualification
Skills and Competencies
* Excellent communication and liaison skills
* Organisational and time management skills
* Experience in working in Access service environments
* Experience in working across multiple care pathways, including 16-18 year olds, Working Age, and Older Persons pathways
