Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, they will be responsible for the delivery of engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring that the department and the school are successful in achieving its aims. We are looking for a qualified Teacher, while experience within a SEN specialist provision would be desirable, we will consider applications from those who are currently working in a mainstream or college setting. The teacher must be able to deliver English at Key Stage 3. Training and development will be provided for the successful candidate in line with the identified needs of the school, the skills of the individual and their prospective career progression. The School Cambian Potterspury Lodge School supports and educates students with Autism and other associated challenges within the autistic spectrum, offering pupils aged 8–18 a differentiated, engaging and challenging curriculum. Our school offers up to 52-week residential provision and also provides day-student placements. Key Accountabilities: Plan and teach well-structured lessons Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs to motivate them Know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas you teach, including statutory assessment requirements.
