About the Role
This new role offers the opportunity to join an established and innovative sports therapy team, contributing to the delivery and enhancement of provision across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The individual will:
* Ensure the continuous improvement of the student experience, teaching and learning excellence, clear appreciation of professional body application and impact in our sports therapy curriculum.
* Demonstrate engagement with research or equivalent scholarly activity to ensure the development of a research-informed curriculum and the subsequent practice of sports therapy graduates.
* Engage in academic enhancement duties, including module leadership. E.g. demonstrated supporting a high-quality student experience and outcomes.
* Ensure Sports Therapy students have access to excellent vocational experiences through the maintenance of existing links and building of further partnerships.
About You
* Qualified sports therapist, chartered physiotherapist/equivalent, possessing a relevant postgraduate qualification/record of working in industry.
* Higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g. FHEA/SFHEA or equivalent)/commitment to complete one within one year.
* Experience of delivering on a Society of Sports Therapists accredited programme is desirable.
* Appreciation of the connectivity between theory and practice/ability to foster industry partnerships to develop industry opportunities for our students.
* Contribute across the wider department and demonstrate a flexible skill set.
