Role Overview As a Cardiology Admin Assistant, you will provide admin support within the Cardiac outpatient department at the Cromwell Hospital. You’ll be working closely with the department's administrative manager, Cardiac Physiologists, and have working interaction with the wider MDT across the hospital. You’ll help us make health happen by: To liaise with all Medical Staff and patients in request to book patients for cardiology tests, ensuring that all correct documentation has been completed by the referrer and uploaded on Compucare To book all relevant tests/investigations for the patient as requested by the referrer To contact all patients requiring cardiology tests, agreeing a suitable date with them and to send appointment confirmation letters as appropriate To notify relevant staff and other stakeholders about the bookings To accurately computerise all information relating to the booking, rebooking, cancellations, and recording outcomes To check charges for all the Cardiology outpatients’ tests, ensuring that correct charges are applied on patients’ file on Compucare in a timely manner Notifying relevant staff members regarding any missing or incorrect charges Liaising with the billings team regarding any charges related issues To receive telephone calls ensuring the caller’s needs are clearly established, accurate messages taken and passed on promptly, and callers are passed on to other colleagues when appropriate To take any follow up action as agreed with a caller and to keep them informed of any outcomes To ensure that patients and visitors are communicated with effectively and politely, and patient focus is maintained Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Experience within administration/coordination in Hospital environment Experience with Compucare or similar systems Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office Packages Excellent communication skills written and verbal Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills and able to meet deadlines Able to build good relationships with colleagues and patients Benefits Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
