FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to strengthen their construction team.

Commissioning Engineer role:
• Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will oversee all commissioning activities, ensuring they are carried out safely and in line with company procedures, specifications, and best practices.
Commissioning Engineer responsibilities:
• Perform commissioning engineer duties safely and compliantly, ensuring project delivery.
• Review and monitor project risks related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control (MEICA) systems.
• Collaborate with the Design team to integrate plant commissioning requirements into the design phase and ensure they are included in the relevant scopes of work.
• Review design documentation, including Fire and Gas Detection Systems (FDS), equipment and instrument lists, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control philosophies, and telemetry requirements.
• Assist in development of initial Commissioning Programme.
• Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
• Liaise with sub-contractors regards commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
• Assist Training Coordinators in developing training materials and participate in Software (SW) Training sessions.
• Support O&M Coordinators in compiling and reviewing Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• Distribute Commissioning Logs/Daily Diaries and other relevant information from Engineers.
Commissioning Engineer requirements:
• Proven Electrical/ICA commissioning experience.
• Substantial on-site experience in water operations.
• Sound understanding of water treatment and distribution processes.
• A valid UK driving license.
• Valid CSCS/ECS card, as appropriate for the role.
