Excellent opportunity for an experienced Sign Maker / Signage Production Specialist to join a well-established company based in PeterboroughSalary: Negotiable Depending on ExperienceJob Type: Full Time / PermanentThe CompanyThey are an independently operated franchisee of a highly reputable company in the UK, providing small, medium and large businesses in the local area with bespoke signage solutions; from simple banners to large custom-built signs, vehicle graphics to illuminated built-up letters and sign trays.Working within a high-performing team of hard-working people, the Sign Maker is responsible for producing a variety of bespoke signage products. The successful candidate will be used to working under pressure and with changing tight deadlines, consequently, you will have a good ability for forward planning and flexibility, you will ideally have experience using a large format printer, plotter and laminator as well as being skilled in the art of weeding, vinyl application, and sign installation.We are looking for a confident, personable and motivated individual with a good eye for detail, they should be flexible in their approach to work as no two days are the same.Main Responsibilities:Producing finished signs from a variety of materialsOperating machines such as large-format printers, vinyl plotters & roll to roll laminatorOrdering production materials: vinyl, laminates and substrates and consumablesRunning regular print machine maintenance routines and keeping computerised production software up to dateAssist in onsite signage installations from time to time as requiredCreating and amending artwork using Adobe and/or Sign LabCore Competencies & SkillsSkilled in the use of Adobe Illustrator/ISgn Lab and RIP softwareLarge format printer experienceOperation of Vinyl PlotterVinyl preparation, lamination and application skillsGeneral Skills / Aptitudes & Experience:Full driving licenseA passion for accuracy and producing high quality signsTime management and prioritising workflow skills are essentialAbility to multi-task and work off of your own initiativeTeam player and ability to work under time pressureAble to move heavy materials around the production environmentConfident to work at customer locations for on-site installationsTraining is provided and development opportunities are available for the right candidateThe employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
