Job Description:
We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Mentors to join our team in the East of England, specifically in Chelmsford, Essex. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will be working in the Education and Training industry on a contract basis, with full-time hours expected. The role offers a competitive salary range of £85 - £90 per day, along with additional benefits such as a £50 referral bonus.
Job Duties:
1. Provide support and guidance to students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
2. Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff.
3. Work one-on-one or in small groups to address behavioural issues and promote positive outcomes.
4. Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to relevant stakeholders.
5. Establish positive relationships with students to foster a supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
6. A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
7. Experience working with individuals with behavioural challenges.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
10. Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
11. Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
12. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
13. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Additional training in Positive Behaviour Support.
15. Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
16. Familiarity with relevant legislation and policies in education.
Working Conditions:
17. Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
18. Work primarily within a school setting.
19. Potential for occasional off-site visits or training sessions.
