We are recruiting an Executive Head Chef for a large and busy science facility.
Be part of a newly structured team overseeing a recently refurbished flagship operation. The facility is a 7 day operation with a busy service offering restaurant, hospitality, coffee and vending. If you like busy and fast paced, this if for you!
Job Description
The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Executive Head Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our largest operations.
As a Executive Head Chef your focus is to work closely with your teams to develop a great work relationship and together to provide the best customer service.
As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
Qualifications
* Have worked in a similar environment at a management level assisting the General Manager on site with all food related matters
* Be a proven, hands-on leader, able to invest in your team and their development
* Be naturally outgoing and vibrant, display a real passion for food and customer service
* Have excellent Health & Safety knowledge
* Be financially astute with good understanding of GP calculation and have strong IT literacy
* Be innovative and creative and driven by excellence
* Stay up to date with current food trends
* Possess a relevant culinary qualification, such as a diploma or degree in Culinary Arts
* Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior chef role within a high-volume catering environment
* Demonstrate exceptional culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
* Possess strong menu planning and development skills, with the ability to create seasonal and innovative dishes
* Have experience in managing food costs, inventory, and budgeting
* Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Hold relevant food safety certifications and have a thorough understanding of food hygiene regulations
* Have experience in managing and motivating large kitchen teams
Additional Information
* £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
* 5 over 7 day operation
